Jayd, a Texas native, began his acting career in New York working mostly in theater on developmental projects and new works: the Public, New York Theater Workshop, Wicked (pre-Broadway), before finding his way to The Actors Center. There he was trained and mentored by the three most respected names in actor training: the legendary Ron Van Lieu, head of acting at both Yale School of Drama and NYU’s Master’s programs, Earle Gister, former chair of Yale School of Drama Acting and Lloyd Richards, former Artistic Director of Yale Rep as well as many other master teachers.

Since then, Jayd has branched out into many different areas in the arts, as well as founding The Studio/New York. At present, Jayd is excited to be focusing on his first love of acting.
